Chelsea’s Broja signs a loan deal with Fulham until the end of the season

Fulham has secured a loan move for Armando Broja from Chelsea until the end of the season. The 22-year-old striker has shown promise with 19 appearances for Chelsea this season, and Fulham CEO Tony Khan expressed excitement about adding him to the squad. Broja’s potential to make an impact is evident, as he has already scored two goals in limited playing time for Chelsea. With Fulham struggling in front of goal, the addition of Broja could provide the team with a much-needed boost. As he joins the squad, all eyes will be on him to see if he can make an immediate impact, with Fulham’s next Premier League fixture against Burnley on Saturday.
Armando Broja has announced his loan transfer from Chelsea to Fulham until the conclusion of the season. Specific financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, though sources indicate that Fulham will compensate a loan fee of £4 million ($5.1m) for the 22-year-old. Furthermore, one source added that the loan fee will be nullified if the Albania international completes 10 starts for Fulham.

Fulham CEO Tony Khan expressed his enthusiasm, stating “I’m very excited that we’ve reached an agreement to bring Armando Broja to Fulham on loan until the end of the season. He’s a young and talented striker who is happy and motivated to join our squad,” as per a club statement.

Armando Broja has the potential to offer relief to Fulham’s deficiencies in front of goal, having made 19 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season. He notably scored his only Premier League goal against Fulham in October and another in their FA Cup third round match against Preston North End last month.

Chelsea’s manager Mauricio Pochettino had previously noted that the striker would play a significant role for his side in the absence of Nicolas Jackson, who was participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Senegal squad. Though Broja was present for Chelsea’s fixture against Liverpool on Wednesday, he did not play.

Given Fulham’s challenges in scoring – with a total of just 28 goals in the 22 Premier League games played so far – the addition of the 22-year-old Armando Broja will be a welcome boost for the team. Marco Silva’s squad will next face Burnley for their upcoming Premier League fixture on Saturday.
