“The Strongest in Africa” – Football Association sends a message to the fans before the Egypt vs. Djibouti match
The Egyptian Football Association has sent a message to the Egyptian national team’s fans ahead of the anticipated match between “The Pharaohs” and Djibouti in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Egyptian national team will begin their journey in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a match against Djibouti at the Cairo Stadium on the first round on the upcoming Thursday, and then will play against Sierra Leone as guests on Sunday, November 19th, in the second round.
The Egyptian Football Association stated on its social media platforms: “The journey to the World Cup starts at the Cairo Stadium, a tough road but with the presence of the strongest fans in Africa, it will be easier.” They added, “Support Egypt in the match against Djibouti on Thursday at 6 pm.”
Ticketing company Tazkarti announced the sale of tickets for the Egypt vs Djibouti match, with third-class tickets priced at 30 Egyptian pounds, second-class at 50 Egyptian pounds, and first-class at 75 Egyptian pounds, while tickets for the VIP section can be purchased for 250 Egyptian pounds.
It is worth noting that the Egyptian national team is in Group A in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, alongside Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, as well as their upcoming opponents Djibouti and Sierra Leone. The group winners will directly qualify, while the second-placed team will compete in a play-off to qualify for the intercontinental play-off.
