The mayor of Mahalla opens the door for Ahly and Zamalek: Any player open for negotiation? The mayor of Mahalla invites negotiations with players from Ahly and Zamalek: Who is available for discussion?

Mustafa El-Shami, the head of Mahalla municipality, has opened the door for Al Ahly and Zamalek to sign players from the team, either in the upcoming winter transfer window in January, or even at the end of the season.

When asked about the possibility of selling players from the team, he replied, “Any player is negotiable, but that does not mean I will accept any offer. There are financial conditions that allow me to compensate for the team’s shortages.”

He added, in an early morning interview on the Egyptian Channel One on Monday, “There is an investment aspect in our plans, and we aim to obtain resources for the club.”

Mahalla municipality is having a remarkable season, as they have moved away from the relegation zone early and currently occupy the 11th place in the Egyptian Premier League table with 8 points from 5 matches, with a postponed match against Al Ahly.

Hammadah Alawi, the director of football at Mahalla municipality, stated last October that Al Ahly and Zamalek have expressed interest in obtaining the services of Nigerian professional player Fibo Akim.

El-Shami explained, “We have signed 3 players from Zamalek on loan until the end of the season, they are Hossam Ashraf, Majed Hani, and Tarek Alaa, and there is no talk about the possibility of cutting their loans in January, and there are no clauses in the contracts that discuss this matter.”
