Zamalek’s Training Session: Official Meeting with Players, Rehabilitation of Al-Wensh and Al-Jaziri, and Absence of Three International Players
The Zamalek team continued their training on Monday afternoon at their stadium, Abdul Latif Abu Rujaila, in preparation for the match against Libya’s Abu Salim in the African Confederation Cup.
The first team of the Zamalek football club is preparing to face Libya’s Abu Salim on November 26th at Borg El Arab Stadium in the first round of the group stage matches of the African Confederation Cup.
Assistant coach and interim head coach, Moataz Gamal, held a session with the players before the start of group training. The session included a quick discussion about the team’s preparation program for the upcoming period, as well as explaining some technical ideas that need to be implemented, alongside addressing some errors that appeared in the recent period.
Mahmoud Hamdi “El Wensh” and Seif El Din El Jaziri continued their rehabilitation program on the sidelines of the group training, doing a series of rehabilitation exercises in the gym before running around the field under the supervision of the team’s medical staff.
Mohamed Abdel Shafi, the team’s left-back, participated in some of the group training, focusing on the physical part of the exercise before continuing the training in the gym, as part of the program set by the team’s medical staff.
Ahmed Sayed “Zizo,” Mohamed Tarek, and Hossam Abdel Mageed were absent from the group training. Zizo’s absence was due to his joining the first national team camp in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers against Djibouti and Sierra Leone, while the absence of Hossam Abdel Mageed and Mohamed Tarek was due to their participation in the U23 national team camp.
The team’s players also conducted a special technical exercise during the group training, focusing on dealing with crosses in front of the opponent’s goal and making the most of them, as well as following up in various technical situations inside the field.
The coaching staff, led by Moataz Gamal, decided that the team will have two training sessions tomorrow. The first session will be at 9 AM at Abdul Latif Abu Rujaila Stadium, followed by the second session at 3 PM.
The coaching staff is keen on preparing the players better before the African Confederation Cup matches and addressing the weaknesses and errors that the players have shown in the recent period.
