Shikabala promises a goal against Pyramids.. We’re not focusing on the Ahly match.
Nasser Mansi, striker of Zamalek club, revealed that the team captain Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala” expected him to score a goal against Pyramids in the semi-final of the Egypt Cup, confirming that it is still early to talk about facing Al Ahly.
Mansi participated in Zamalek’s qualification for the Egypt Cup final after defeating Pyramids on penalties (4-3) after the end of the original and extra time with a score of 3-3.
The Zamalek striker said in television statements on ON Time Sports 2: “What happened against Pyramids was a blessing from God.”
He added, “I was sitting on the substitutes’ bench and saw the scenario of the match. I wanted to participate in achieving something with the team and delighting the fans.”
He continued, “The return of Zamalek after falling behind in the result? We were up to the responsibility and our goal from the beginning was to win.”
He added, “We respected Pyramids a lot and the match was tough, but we have (men) players and are up to the responsibility.”
Nasser Mansi revealed Shikabala’s role before the Pyramids match, saying: “He spoke to us before the match and emphasized the importance of the game and the win. He is a true leader and supports us at all times.”
He continued, “Shikabala expected that I would score a goal against Pyramids and that’s exactly what happened.”
He pointed out, “Captain Moutamed Gamal took charge two days before the Pyramids match, but he is a very solid coach and knows my abilities since the Olympic national team.”
Regarding the match against Al Ahly in the Egypt Cup final, scheduled for March 13, Mansi said: “I think it is still too early to talk about that match. Our focus now is on the league and the Confederation Cup and the upcoming matches.”
He added, “Since I joined Zamalek, I have been looking for the opportunity, but I stepped back because of the vision of Osorio, which I greatly respected.”
