Oliver Kahn Opens Football Academy in India

Oliver Kahn, the legendary German goalkeeper, has launched his academy in India in partnership with Pro 10 in Maharashtra. The goal of the Oliver Kahn Academy is to revolutionize football education and development in the country by providing a complete football education that focuses on grooming players as well-rounded athletes. His visit to India in 2008 for his farewell game with Bayern Munich left a lasting impression, and he is now back to contribute to the growth of football in the country. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) president, Kalyan Chaubey, welcomed Kahn and discussed various topics related to the development of Indian football, including the scope of having a Goalkeeping Academy.

Kahn’s previous visit to India took place in 2008 when he played his farewell match for Bayern Munich against Mohun Bagan at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, with Bayern Munich emerging victorious with a score of 3-0.
