Al Ahly’s train arrives in El Gouna.. Kolr explores a new rival in search of the league’s top spot.

The first football team of Al-Ahly Club is seeking to pass the Gouna station, this Saturday evening, in order to regain the lead in the Egyptian Premier League.

Al-Ahly will be a guest at Gouna in the “Khaled Bichara” stadium at 5 pm in the postponed match from the fourth week of the Premier League competition.

The Red Devils are looking to snatch their fifth consecutive victory in the league in order to regain the lead before the international break.

The FIFA international agenda starts from November 13th to 21st, with the Egyptian national team scheduled to play two matches against Djibouti and Sierra Leone in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Al-Ahly leads the Premier League table with 13 points from 6 rounds, followed by Al-Ahly in second place with 12 points and with two postponed matches, including against Gouna.

Al-Ahly defeated Al-Masry (4-0), Ismaily (3-1), Arab Contractors (2-1), and Ceramica Cleopatra (2-1).

On the other hand, El Gouna, led by coach Alaa Abdel-Aal, is in tenth place with 8 points.

El Gouna rose in the last two rounds by achieving a win after recording two draws and one defeat.

Al-Ahly has the upper hand over El Gouna in their recent encounters, with their last loss dating back to February 2014.

The last match between the two teams was in July 2022 in the league competition, when Al-Ahly defeated El Gouna 2-0, with goals from Rami Rabia and Ali Maaloul.

Today’s match is the first for the Swiss coach Marcel Koller against El Gouna.

In the meantime, a number of Al-Ahly players will be absent from the squad for the match against El Gounaa.
