Suleiman: We have not negotiated with any coach to lead Zamalek.. and we have chosen Moatamed Gamal in 3 minutes

Ahmed Sleiman, a member of the Zamalek board of directors and the supervisor of the football team, said that the club has not negotiated with any coach to lead the first football team, adding that the decision to appoint Moataz Gamal was made in just 3 minutes.
Zamalek sacked Colombian coach Juan Carlos Osorio before announcing Moataz Gamal as the interim coach.
Gamal led Zamalek to qualify for the 2022-2023 Egypt Cup final, after defeating Pyramids on penalties, following a (3-3) draw in 120 minutes.
Sleiman stated on Thursday morning on “MBC Egypt” TV: “I was in Italy for personal reasons, and I have not negotiated with any coach. All the names circulating regarding potential candidates to coach Zamalek are not correct.”
He added: “No official has negotiated with any coach so far to lead Zamalek.”
He continued: “We have great confidence in Moataz Gamal. We chose him to lead Zamalek in just 3 minutes. He delivered a wonderful match against Pyramids and proved that he is a capable coach who has been established correctly.”
He added: “There will be a session soon to discuss the file of the new head coach.”
He continued: “Everyone has been talking in recent days about the decision of the Zamalek management to punish Fath, Elzanaty, and Sobhi, and no one has really talked about the match between Zamalek and Pyramids.”
Before concluding, he said: “We made the decision to punish Fath, Elzanaty, and Sobhi, and we completely closed this file.”
It is worth mentioning that Al-Ahly and Zamalek will meet in the 2022-2023 Egypt Cup final next year, specifically on March 13, 2024.
